Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

They installed palm trees and trashed my yard and new sod. Had area prepped edged and weed barrier pulled back for them. Left a mess!!! Told manager at Pender Pines about it and he just made excuses for them and did not care one bit about it. Seriously acted like I was bothering him telling him about it. [Pics to follow] A year and half later I have seen little growth. Fronds are shriveling and turned brown had professionals come look and they have fungus. Have had since shortly after planted from being planted too deep. After digging down around top of ball the root crown which should be exposed or slightly covered at best was way to deep. I have treated with copper fungicide but is loosing battle. I have bowled out around trunk placed down retaining fabric and covered with rock to allow as much air in as possible. I thought I was hiring a professional nursery but the guys that installed had no idea how to do proper install. I called and they sent down a guy who knew nothing about plants. Said it could be insects but wasnβt sure. The only thing he was sure of was they were not going to help in any way. First 2 pics of there job and my job that I expected them to do. Next pics are

We have notified staff of open and obviously infected wounds on the goats twice since 2024. The latest visit the cockatoo caught my attention, the poor bird has obvious behavioral issues and is in distress all the time. The entire front of the bird is also completely bald, indicating infection, parasites or extreme distress causing the bird to rip its own feathers out. They are constantly trying to dig out and escape from the bottom of the cage and it is extremely disappointing to watch. This establishment clearly is not properly qualified to take care and treat these animals and they are being used as props for attention rather than living creatures. If proper care for the animals cannot be obtained then they need to be removed because this is cruel.

We absolutely love it here. We go every year and this is where I spend my birthday money! We originally met the owner when we bought a goat From him. They always have what I am wanting. Lots of animals and ponds. Itβs a peaceful place to have a date even. Would be AMAZING with a coffee/tea bar ;)
